mount Sinai hospital's 100th anniversary
Mount Sinai Hospital turning 100 is the opportunity of a lifetime to celebrate who we are, and the community that was key to our creation.
From the beginning, care has been at the heart of all that Mount Sinai Hospital — and Sinai Health — does. We were built to fill a need the Jewish community identified, but it wasn’t just this population we served. From its very first day Mount Sinai Hospital was an inclusive place, welcoming everyone who needed its services.
That spirit continues today, and informs not just Mount Sinai Hospital, but Sinai Health’s approach to patient care. We are world-class, and the care we deliver is extraordinary. None of this is possible without our community, and we want to celebrate — across every department at Mount Sinai Hospital.
We are looking forward to sharing our 100th anniversary celebrations next year with our donors and supporters, as they have been at the heart of all that we do since Mount Sinai Hospital began.
A key pillar of our Mount Sinai 100 celebrations is the creation of the Mount Sinai 100 Chairs. Since Sinai Health Foundation started its fundraising campaign to support these prestigious appointments, eight of these Chairs have been fully funded. Each Chair is Sinai Health Foundation’s way of honouring the doctors and scientists whose achievements have elevated our reputation for world-class care. The Chairs — each of which will be endowed — will help recruit and fund the work of the next generation of pre-eminent Mount Sinai clinicians and scientists, securing the next century of care at Sinai Health.
We look forward to celebrating this milestone event with our community, particularly because of the special opportunity it provides us to truly thank and recognize all our donors. See you at the celebrations!
